About us
I specialise in editing STEM subjects (science, technology, engineering and maths), whether academic papers, magazine articles, books, educational material or online material. I have several years experience of working on GCSE and A-level educational textbooks and material aimed at industry.
Prior to this I worked for a number of years as an engineering project manager, working with complex electronic systems in buildings and on the roads, and have also worked as a primary teacher. From this I have developed strong project management and organisational skills as well as an understanding of the UK curriculum.
I am happy working in different formats and have experience of XML, HTML and LaTeX. I am skilled at working with Microsoft Word and MathType to create manuscripts that typesetters can produce clean proofs from. I can work with Word styles or tagging to do this.
